Dr. ( Prof.) Siddharth Lakhotia MBBS, MS, M.Ch, FIACS: He is Professor and Head in the Dept. of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery at Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU. His main professional interests are heart surgery for children, lung surgery, trauma surgeries and teaching UG/PG students. He was pioneer in establishing Open Heart surgery programme, OT and ICU, MCh course in CTVS, PDCC Thoracic Surgery and ECPT diploma in BHU. He is member of ASI, IACTVS, IMA , Asian Association of Cardiothoracic surgeons, INTACH and FIP. He has more than 50 publications to his credit. A lover of nature, he has planted more than 1000 trees; has travelled extensively in India, driving his car. He did seven solo photography exhibitions in prestigious art galleries of India; hosts regular musical programmes Triveni Kala sangam at his residence He has published many books like Eternal Reflections, IMS BHU a legendary dream, Eternal Happiness, Heart Beats, Journies in India, Beyond Syllabus, Heart Beats, Frescoes of Life, Journey, Life of medicos etc. He has made more than 1000 small movies on different topics including educational videos on heart and lung surgeries.
