Message to Students of my School : Central Hindu Boys school, BHU, Varanasi

“Come to Learn, Go to Serve”

 A Motto for School Life,

A Principle for Life Itself

Among the many memories I cherish from my days at Central Hindu Boys School, one remains particularly close to my heart—the inspiring motto displayed on the school campus: “Shiksharth Aaiye, Sevarth Jaiye” (Come to Learn, Go to Serve).

As a student, I passed these words every day. At the time, they seemed like a simple guiding principle of the institution. However, as I progressed through life, I gradually realized the profound wisdom they contain. Even today, this motto continues to inspire me and reminds me that the true purpose of education extends far beyond academic excellence, degrees, jobs, or personal advancement.

Education is about shaping character, nurturing values, developing a sense of responsibility towards society, and discovering a meaningful purpose in life. A school does not merely prepare students for examinations; it prepares them for life itself.

In an age driven by competition and ambition, success is often measured through achievements and accomplishments alone. Yet true success lies in how we use our knowledge, skills, and opportunities to serve others. Values such as honesty, discipline, perseverance, empathy, humility, and respect transform educated individuals into responsible citizens and compassionate human beings.

Founder of the School : Smt Annie Besant Ji

Students should always remember that success does not come only from intelligence or talent. It is built upon discipline, hard work, integrity, and good values. Education is not merely about obtaining marks; it is about developing character, wisdom, and the ability to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

The motto “Shiksharth Aaiye, Sevarth Jaiye” beautifully captures this philosophy. It teaches us that learning should ultimately lead to service. Every lesson we learn, every skill we acquire, and every achievement we attain gains greater meaning when it contributes to the well-being of society.

As an alumnus of this esteemed institution, I take immense pride in being associated with a school that continues to uphold these timeless ideals. I sincerely hope that every student who passes through its gates carries this message throughout life, not only striving for excellence in their chosen fields, but also serving society with humility, integrity, and compassion.

Every challenge in life is an opportunity to learn and grow. Never be afraid of failure, for failure often teaches lessons that success cannot. Set clear goals, remain focused, and work consistently towards your dreams. Respect your parents, teachers, and elders, whose guidance helps shape your future. Be honest in your actions, kind in your words, and responsible in your duties.

Always remember that lasting success is not determined by Intelligence Quotient (IQ) alone. It is a combination of Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), Adversity Quotient (AQ), and Spiritual Quotient (SQ) that enables individuals to lead balanced, meaningful, and impactful lives.

The future belongs to those who believe in themselves and work with determination. Let knowledge be your strength, values be your foundation, and service to humanity be your purpose.

For in the end, the true value of education is not measured by what we gain for ourselves, but by what we give back to the world.

Dream big, work hard, stay humble, and never stop learning.

May you continue to learn, grow, and contribute positively to society.
